Newer silicon-carbon chemistry fits 6000 mAh into the same thickness. Charging wattage buys refill speed and heat in one purchase: 20 to 33 W fills a phone in 80 to 100 minutes, while 65 to 120 W reaches half in ten and runs the cell warmer, which is what ages it. Water resistance is a test result, not a promise. IP68 means dust tight and immersion past one meter of fresh water for a stated time, often 1.5 m for 30 minutes, while IP54 covers splashes only. Compare width rather than the screen diagonal, since width decides one-hand use. Phones measure 71 to 78 mm across, and most adult thumbs stop reaching the far top corner past about 73 mm. Find the width of the phone you carry now, then judge the new one against that number rather than against a photograph.
Do the pocket test with the case on. A case adds 2 to 3 mm on every side and 30 to 60 g. So a 220 g large-screen phone lands near 270 g in the hand and will sag a shirt pocket. Sit down in your usual trousers with a phone of the same size before you commit.
Work out the storage before you compare prices. The system takes 15 to 25 GB, a photo runs 3 to 5 MB, and 4K video eats about 350 MB per minute. An hour of recording is 20 GB. Treat 128 GB as the floor and 256 GB as correct if you film, because most phones no longer take a memory card.
