Threading Tools (Hair Removal)

Threading uses a loop of cotton thread twisted into a spiral and rolled across skin. Where the twist closes it catches hair and lifts it straight out of the follicle, taking a whole row in one pass. Nothing is applied to the skin at all: no heat, no resin, no chemistry, only thread and tension.

Precision is what the format buys. Wax clears an area while a thread removes a defined line, which is why brow shaping belongs here and legs do not. Freehand technique holds the thread between both hands and often the teeth. A handheld threading tool does the twisting for you between two spring loaded arms. This is far easier to learn and slower across a full brow.

Because nothing grips the skin surface, threading serves people wax cannot. Anyone using a topical retinoid, which thins the outer layer of skin so that wax lifts it, can usually thread instead. Reactive skin that flares after resin does better here too. Regrowth follows the same two to four week root cycle as waxing and epilating, and hair returns with a tapered tip rather than a cut edge.
