Press the weave flat between two fingers and let go, because a real waffle springs back while a shallow printed imitation stays flat. Check pockets and belt loops, as the open grid that traps air also catches on a watch or a ring, and reinforced edges last longer there. Wash warm, keep softener away so the pockets stay open, and tumble low, since overdrying flattens the honeycomb and takes the warmth with it.
